D-Rex dinosaur - save 20

D-Rex Interactive Dinosaur is the ultimate pet for boys (and girls too). This ferocious prehistoric pet is a loyal dinosaur robot with its own “personality”.

Like a real pet, D-Rex dinosaur will follow the sound of your voice, make strange noises and even guard your room when using the roaring guard mode. D-Rex has life like appearance and movements using robotics and sensors that are built in. Try him out is several modes like Attack mode, Guard mode, Seek mode, Question mode and my favorite … Prank mode.

This creature can walk, chomp, bare its teeth and roar to let you know what he wants. Treat your D-Rex Interactive Dinosaur like a real friend by petting and feeding him and you’ll be his master!

D-Rex Interactive Dinosaur requires 5 “C” batteries (included) and 2 “AAA” batteries (NOT INCLUDED). You will need a screwdriver to open and secure the battery compartment.

D-Rex Dinosaur Modes

D-Rex is a remote control dinosaur toy made by Mattel. Can you tame him? This the toy uses robotics and sensors that would make this toy seem like a living miniaturized tyrannosaurus rex. This toy is targeted at 8-18 year old boys rather than adults. Here are some instructions about how you can play with D-rex.

  1. Pet D-rex. Petting D-rex makes him to wag his tail and play happy sounds just like a real dog would. There are petting sensors are on the top and back of his head. Try not to pet the front of his nose though – this might trigger aggression.
  2. Place a something in the mouth to feed D-Rexsuch as the remote control bone. He will chew contently on the bone till he is full.
  3. Use the remote control bone to trigger certain commands:
    • Attack mode. Press attack mode once to get D-Rex ready. Press a second time to launch the attack. If you continue pressing attack, D-Rex will continue charging forward and  roaring and chomping his mouth.
    • Prank mode. Press the prank button and D-Rex starts with a bunch of humorous sounds like … a dinosaur fart, burp, yawning and even roaring.
    • Question mode. This button will trigger D-rex to nod his head in agreement or shake it for non-agreement.
    • Guard mode. The guard mode will prompt D-Rex Dinosaur to back up a few steps and start looking around the room and sniffing – basically he is done scanning the room. Then he will sit in guard mode waiting for an intruder to approach. If movement is detected he will automatically launch into attack mode by roaring and moving forward. If he doesn’t see anything in 30 minutes, he will go to sleep.
    • Seek mode. D-rex will play some hide and seek with you. Set D-Rex to seek mode, then call him. He will try and find you.
  4. Touching the front of the nose will wake him while sleeping or trigger aggression when already awake

Wake him up. After a few minutes of inactivity, D-rex Interactive Dinosaur will automatically “take a nap” saving battery power. You can wake him up by pressing his nose.

  • Turn the toy off fully by flipping the switch on its belly
